Accessibility Statement
Leadership & Governance Academy is committed to making its website, communications, and events accessible to all participants.
Our Commitment
Leadership & Governance Academy ("LGA"), an initiative of Crown Institute, is committed to ensuring that its digital presence and in-person programming are accessible to individuals with disabilities. We recognize accessibility as a foundational component of institutional credibility and civic responsibility.
Standards We Aim to Support
LGA's website is designed with the intent to substantially align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines define how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities — including visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and neurological differences.
Website Accessibility Practices
- Clear, institutional typography and high-contrast color use across navy, gold, and ivory.
- Descriptive page titles and meta information on every public page.
- Logical heading hierarchy to support screen-reader navigation.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and form elements wherever feasible.
- Alternative-text descriptions for institutional imagery.
- Responsive layouts that adapt to a range of devices and viewport sizes.
Event Accessibility
The Leadership, Education & Governance Summit and related LGA events are planned with accessibility considerations in mind, including accessible venue selection where feasible, accessible registration and check-in, and reasonable accommodations for attendees who notify LGA in advance.
Requesting Accommodations
Individuals who require an accommodation — whether digital, programmatic, or event-related — are invited to contact LGA in advance through the contact form and select the appropriate inquiry type. Please describe the nature of the accommodation requested, and, where applicable, the event, page, or program to which it relates. LGA will respond to accommodation requests in a reasonable period and will work with the requester to arrange an appropriate solution.
Feedback on Website Accessibility
If you encounter a barrier to accessing any portion of the LGA website, or have suggestions for improvement, please notify us through the contact form. Please describe the page or feature affected, the assistive technology you were using (if any), and the nature of the issue. Your feedback helps strengthen the institutional quality of our digital presence.
Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing institutional commitment. LGA continually reviews its website, communications, and programming with the goal of improving accessibility over time. This Accessibility Statement may be updated as our practices, standards, and tools evolve.
